What is art therapy?
Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being. No artistic skill is required.
Who can benefit from art therapy?
Anyone. We work with people processing grief, anxiety, trauma or burnout, as well as artists looking to reconnect with their practice. Sessions are open to members and non-members alike.
Do I need to be good at art?
No. Art therapy is about the process, not the product. Our therapists guide you through simple, accessible exercises — nothing is graded, judged, or exhibited.
How long is a session?
Individual sessions run about 60 minutes. Group sessions run 90 minutes and are held at The Alley Hub in Kilimani, Nairobi, or online.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Everything shared in a session stays between you and your therapist, in line with professional counselling ethics.
